ES | La genial heladería ROCAMBOLESC se encuentra en Girona y es todo un mundo de ensueño para los amantes de los helados. Su original interior, proyectado por el estudio de interiorismo de SANDRA TARRUELLA, con la colaboración del estudio de diseño gráfico RUN, está inspirado en el cuento de Roald Dahl, Charlie y la fábrica de chocolate. 

Su menú ofrece seis tipos diferentes de helados artesanales, servidos en cornete o en terrina, y combinados con hasta 34 divertidos toppings. Además, en esta genial heladería también podrás encontrar una gran variedad de caramelos, postres, perfumes e incluso libros.

EN | The charming ice-cream shop ROCAMBOLESC is located in Girona, Spain, and it's a dream world for sweet palates and ice-cream lovers. Its creative interior, design by SANDRA TARRUELLA's interior design studio in collaboration with graphic design studio RUN,  is been inspired by Roald Dahl's tale, Charlie and chocolate factory.

Its menu offers six ice-cream flavours, with exquisite accessories like butter cookie, cotton candy, popping-candy and fresh fruit, are available, alongside a selection of candies, deserts, perfumes and books.

ES | Hola lunes de mayo! Los días se van haciendo más largos y cálidos y el verano se va acercado cada vez más. Hoy he traido una de esas recetas de tardes de verano, un clásico reinventado: el helado. El de hoy es un helado de té de manzanilla, para que los amantes del té lo sustituyan por la bebida caliente en los bochornosos días de verano y los amantes del café diluyan una bola de este riquísimo helado en sus tazas. Se sierve con avellanas (pueden mezclarse con el helado o servirse a parte) y trocitos de melocotón. Esta es una receta muy refrescante para las meriendas estivales. Avellana es mi sabor favorito de helado y manzanilla mi té preferido, así que esta mezcla puede ser todo un placer para mi paladar. Y vosotros, ¿cuál es vuestro sabor de helado favorito?

EN | Hello Monday! Days are getting longer and warmer and summer is getting closer. Today I'm bringing one of those summer afternoon recipes, it's a old classic with a twist: ice-cream. Today's chamomile and honey ice-cream! Tea lovers can have it instead of a hot cup of tea in the hot summer days, and coffee lovers can sink an ice-cream scoop in their cup of coffee. It can be served with hazelnut (you can mix them with the ice-cream or serve aside) and peaches. This is a very refreshing recipe for summer afternoon teas. Hazelnut is my favourite ice-cream and chamomile my favourite infusion. How about you, which is your favourite ice-cream flavour?

Helado de manzanilla y miel 

4 yemas de huevo grandes

140g miel

300ml leche entera

300ml nata

4-5 saquitos de té de manzanilla

Avellanas

Melocotón troceado

Precalentar el horno a 180ºC. Poner las avellanas en una bandeja forrada con papel de horno y meterlas al horno durante 10 minutos o hasta que se doren. Mover las avellanas de vez en cuando para que se doren por todos lados. Machacarlas una vez hornedas para hacer trozos grandes.

Calentar la leche, nata y miel en un cazo. lace the milk. Retirar el fuego e introducir las bolsitas de té de manzanilla y dejarlas infusionar durante 10-15 minutos. Retirar las bolsas de manzanilla.

En un recipiente, batir las yemas de huevo. Volver a poner el el fuego la mezcla de leche, nata, miel y manzanilla y añadir las yemas batidas sin dejar de remover con una cuchara de madera hasta que espesen. Poner la mezcla en un recipiente limpio y meter el recipiente en agua con hielo. Dejarlo enfriar en el frigorífico. Una vez que la mezcla esté fria meterla en la heladera y seguir instrucciones de uso de la heladera.

Antes de servir trocear el melocotón y poner un poco de azúcar por encima. Servir con el helado y la avellana por encima.

Chamomile and honey ice cream

4 large egg yolks
140g honey
300ml full cream milk
300ml thickened cream
4-5 chamomile tea bags
Hazelnuts
Ripe nectarines/peaches

Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Place the hazelnuts on a baking tray and roast them in the oven for about 10 minutes or until they are golden. Shake the tray a few times to insure they are evenly roasted. Chop them roughly.

Place the milk, cream and honey in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat, add the chamomile tea, and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes. Take out the bags (or strain through a fine sieve into a bowl if you’re using loose tea, then return the mixture to the saucepan) and discard them.

In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks until pale. Bring the milk mixture back to a simmer, then pour into the yolks, stirring constantly. Place the mixture back in the saucepan and put on a low heat, constantly stirring with a wooden spoon until the custard thickens and coats the back of the spoon. Strain into a clean bowl, cool over ice-cold water then chill the mixture in the fridge. Churn in an ice cream machine according to the manufacture’s instructions.

Just before serving, slice the fruit and place in a bowl, sprinkle with little sugar and leave for 10 minutes or so to macerate (if your fruit is very ripe, you may not need to bother to do so). Sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts on top of the ice cream and serve with the fruit.

Un hotel tropical de los años 50A tropical hotel from the 50s

ES | Entre las páginas del nuevo número de mayo de la revista LONNY he descubierto este sensacional hotel tropical, llamado LA BANANE, situado en la isla francesa de ST. BARTH, en pleno corazón del Caribe. La villa data de los años '50 y perteneció a, Jean-Marie Rivière, una estrella parisina del cabaret. Hace no muchos años fue restaurada manteniendo su estética de los '50 y sin perder su esencia isleña.

Este hotel tropical cuenta con nueve cabañas decoradas en una colorida paleta de colores vivos. Los tonos verde-agua de las habitaciones contrastan con los cálidos amarillos y rojos de las zonas comunes. Toda una explosión colorista enmarcada en un interior clásico con mobiliario de diseño de mediados del siglo pasado y en una localización singular en pleno corazón del Caribe. Este hotel no podría ser más único. 

EN | Among the pages of the new May issue of LONNY magazine I've found this sensational tropical hotel, called LA BANANE, located in the French island of ST. BARTH, in the middle of the Caribbean. This 1950s villa was owned by cabaret star Jean Marie Rivière. A few years ago was renovated keeping its 50s aesthetic without losing its islander essence.

This tropical hotel has nine bungalows decorated in bright vibrant colour palette. Turquoise bedrooms and bathrooms add a beautiful contrast to the warm bright yellow and red palette in the common areas. Its interior brings together a colour explosion combined with classic design furniture of the middle of the 20th century and surrounded by a stunning tropical environment. This is a very unique hotel for a summer escape.

ES | Como cada verano muchos pasarán unas semanas de vacaciones en sus CASAS DE PLAYA o en sus CASAS DE CAMPO. Muchos vuelven a sus pequeños pueblos de origen para reencontrarse con familiares y viejos amigos y recordar aventuras estivales de la niñez. Muchos todavían conservan las casas de sus abuelas como hogar de veraneo para la familia. Otros simplemente han encontrado alguna preciosa casita de campo de la que se han enamorado y han adquirido y renovado sin perder la esencia del contexto rural en el que la casa se encuentra. 

Por ello hoy me ha parecido muy oportuno escribir sobre un tema que me encanta: el estilo RÚSTICO CHIC, y traer una selección de baños rústicos con mucho estilo que pueden inspirar y ayudar a decorar las casas de verano de aquellos que tengan la suerte de poder disfrutar este verano de unos cuantos días de campo.

EN | Every year many people spend their summer holidays in their BEACH HOUSES or their COUNTRY HOMES. Many people will return to their small country towns to spend the summer with family and old friends remembering summer childhood adventures. Many people still keep their grandparents' houses to spend holidays with their families. Some others have just found a beautiful country home to fall in love with and have bought and renovated keeping the essence of the rural context in which the house is located.

For all of these reasons I thought today I should bring this post about one of my favourite styles: RUSTIC CHIC, with a compilation of stylish rustic bathrooms to inspire and help to design beautiful country homes to those who are so lucky to have a beautiful house in the countryside to spend the summer holidays.
